K&S Stock: Amundi Increases Stake Above 3%
French asset management company Amundi S.A. has significantly increased its stake in fertilizer manufacturer K+S Aktiengesellschaft, crossing an important threshold in voting rights. According to a recent disclosure, Amundi now holds a total of 3.17 percent of the voting rights in K+S, consisting of 3.13 percent direct voting rights (equivalent to 5,606,677 shares) and 0.04 percent through financial instruments. This marks the first time Amundi has exceeded the 3 percent threshold, up from its previous position of 2.97 percent. Notably, Amundi asset Management S.A.S., a subsidiary of Amundi S.A., alone controls 3.06 percent of the voting rights.
Share Price Struggles Despite Recovery From Yearly Low
Despite this increased institutional interest, K+S shares traded lower on Friday, falling approximately 0.8 percent to €13.80 on the XETRA exchange with trading volume reaching 271,146 shares. Prices dipped as low as €13.64 during the session. However, the current price still represents a significant recovery of about 38 percent from the 52-week low of €9.97 reached on September 11, 2024. The stock remains approximately 10 percent below its 52-week high of €15.15 recorded on April 6, 2024. Analysts project earnings per share of €0.222 for fiscal year 2024 with an expected dividend of €0.204. K+S previously reported a loss per share of €0.15 in Q3 2024 on revenue of €866.20 million, with Q4 results anticipated on March 13, 2025.
