Figure Air France-KLM parmi les 1res compagnies aériennes mondiales. Le CA par activité se répartit comme suit:

- transport de passagers et de marchandises (87,2%): 98,7 millions de personnes et 1,1 Mt de marchandises transportées en 2017;

- maintenance maintenance (7,1%);

- transport de passagers à bas prix (5,5%; Transavia): 14,8 millions de personnes transportées;

- autres (0,2%): essentiellement activités de restauration.

Une fin 2017, le groupe dispose d'une flotte de 545 avions (dont 201 ne sont pas livrés et 344 en location) Air national (315), KLM (162) et Transavia (68).

La répartition géographique du CA est la suivante: France (31,7%), Benelux (15%), Europe (19,4%), Amérique du Nord (12,8%), Asie-Pacifique (8,4%). , Afrique (4,5%) et autres (8,2%).
